Located a short drive from downtown Naples, where Gulf breezes mingle with the scent of manicured citrus groves, Pine Ridge Estates stands as a coveted address in Southwest Florida. Here, Liquidity Journal Publisher Randolph Love III and I arrive on a 1.72-acre corner lot framed by twin driveways (one of which leads to a climate-controlled 5-car garage), where a residence that blurs the line between home and a luxury retreat greets us.

Inside, we find the first guest suite immediately to the right of the entry and across from the hall an office suite, complete with its own powder room. The living room astounds with a dramatic 27 foot ceiling. Not to be outdone, however, by the walls of glass that line the back of the room, dissolving the boundaries between polished interiors and the exhilarating retreat out back. But not so fast, we will get to that later. To the right of the living room, it’s an open layout that leads directly to the kitchen.

To the right of the living room, it’s an open layout that leads directly to the kitchen. It’s a gourmet kitchen, in fact, featuring a Quartzite island, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. I think I should look into one of those espresso makers. The formal dining room sits neatly to the side of the kitchen, with the open view serving as the perfect backdrop. On the other side of the kitchen, we have a walk-in wine cellar, for keeping your prized vintages at perfect temperature.

We found ourselves inside the spacious primary suite, a king bed fits easily and there’s still ample space to move around. The soft blue walls and the natural light from the floor to ceiling window made the room feel so calm. The suite has a hallway leading to two walk-in closets, both of which are full rooms on their own. There’s an en-suite bath with twin vanities, a soaking tub, and a rain shower large enough for a crowd.

We walked down a hallway that leads to a den, a storage closet, and a staircase. We couldn’t go upstairs yet though because we had one more to cover on the first floor. At last, we got to the moment I had been waiting for and opened the floor to ceiling door that led to a lanai with a full cabana kitchen and outdoor fireplace, keeping you protected from the Florida sun and dry when the summer afternoon rain slides through. Now for those who do want the sun's warm embrace, the pool offers a sun shelf for tanning or maybe just for when you only feel like being partially in the water. At night when the sun sets and the temperature lowers, there’s also a large firepit to enjoy with 7 of your favorite people. You really should see it.

The upstairs can be reached by those stairs we saw earlier or by elevator, but chose the scenic route by going back to the entry where the main staircase splits into twin staircases. Up here, there’s six additional bedrooms, alongside a family room, loft, and second laundry.

This place, isn’t just a house, it’s a personal resort.
